Phase 3: Vision and Objectives Identification

As part of this phase, Nemai Consulting (Process Facilitator) consulted with all stakeholders in order to ascertain objectives for the management and use of the dam and state land. This is regarded as a visioning exercise. The purpose of setting a vision for Spring Grove Dam is to articulate a collective statement of future desired use and state for the impoundment and adjoining state-owned land.


Amongst others, the vision and objectives were identified via public participation and examining planning prescripts, such as the Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) and the Spatial Development Frameworks (SDFs) for the area. The questions shown in the accompanying diagram guided the process of establishing the objectives for Spring Grove Dam.
